THE TIFFIN BOX
The Boho Tiffinbox is a guaranteed eye-catcher. With its playful patterns the lunchbox gives every outing a glamorous look. But it is not only pretty to look at, it also is incredibly practical and eco-friendly.
The box consists of two stacked containers with which various dishes can be transported separately. So to speak for a multiple course menu to go: Be it for schooldays, the workplace or a longer journey. With its tight fasteners it is suitable for any meal. Be careful though with very liquid dishes (e.g. broth), keep box upright. Since the container is made of 100% stainless steel it is odourless and doesn’t discolour.
The tiffin box is an 18th century invention originating in British India and means as much as “container for light meals”. The tiffin has since established itself on a broad scale. In Indian cities you will find delivery services that provide lunch menus to all kinds of workplaces solely in tiffin boxes. Let alone in Mumbai more than 200.000 such deliveries are made on a daily basis following an elaborate system – by foot with a hand trolley or by bicycle.
